The mission of DAREC is threefold:
Innovative Research and Development: To conduct and promote groundbreaking research in digital agriculture, leveraging advanced technologies such as AI, IoT, and smart systems. We aim to develop, test, and validate new and existing digital technologies that enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability.
Education and Training: To offer world-class educational programs in digital agriculture, equipping undergraduate and graduate students with the knowledge and skills to thrive in this rapidly evolving field. Our commitment extends to continual learning opportunities for professionals, fostering a skilled workforce that can drive agricultural transformation.
Outreach and Extension Services: To serve as a central hub for knowledge dissemination and technology demonstration. We are dedicated to engaging with stakeholders, including farmers, industry partners, and government agencies, through our smart farm testbed, digital media platforms, and collaborative outreach initiatives.
